On the way to the doctors, clearly Freeze wants Tristan snack quite badly.
Tristan thinks we may have to wait a long time at the doctors and he decides to rest, it was not a long wait though, unlike the day he got the cast put on, where all we did was wait and wait in waiting rooms!
Last picture with a cast!
Even though the gal showed Tristan that the saw would not cut skin he still got a little upset at first.
He soon calmed down when he realised it wasn't going to cut him and didn't hurt.
off it comes!
Wow! There's my arm!
a quick wash and moisturizer
Then down to x-ray, Tristan says : My arm feels strange.
x-ray
The verdict is, good healing! Tristan will need to wear a splint for another month, mainly when he is playing or outdoors. He can take the splint off to swim, bath, sleep or if he's just sitting quietly watching tv.
Tristan is very happy to have the cast off! The doctor shared stories about active boys (and even himself as a child!) coming back in again days later having re-broken their limb. I do hope that will not happen to us! Tristan seems content to play quietly for now anyway so I will encourage quiet play for a couple days anyway!

Woohoo! I know you're ALL thrilled!
Great job, Tristan! Gabe had a splint just like that only it was a bit bigger and went all the way up to his elbow. Before you know it he will be good as new.
Wonderful news! I would have been scared of that saw, too!
Jodi, I wanted to respond again and tell you that a little boy in our church that broke his arm the same week as Gabe just rebroke it again...just like Tristan's doctor mentioned. He even had wires in his arm still and bent the wires. He had to have another surgery to remove the bend wires and put new ones in and this time the doctor put a hard cast on.
Make you Tristan keeps that splint on...don't want to re-injure his arm.
YEA! Glad it healed well.
Oh my, that is unfortunate about the boy from church, Debbie. Shows it really does happen though. Tristan's being pretty good about using the splint and not playing too rough.
I'm Glad gabe is healing well too. It's been a hard years for boys and arms. LOL
Glad it's healing!
It'll make swimming easier, that's for sure!{g}
