October

In October we had 16 busy days and 15 at home days, according to my calendar. That's not 100% accurate since we did go out selling scout popcorn a couple of the days and that wasn't on my calendar and there was the pesky issue of the car breaking down and the search for a new vehicle. Still October was not quite as busy as September.

In October we saw a show about Galileo, attended mixed class day, attended boy scouts and our homeschool Boy Scout club weekly. The kids had a few outside classes and we had a big trip to Boston for a Johnny Tremain Boston by foot tour and also a visit to Minuteman National park. We continued to get some produce from the garden and saw our many pond frogs slowly leave the small pond in search of a better place to spend the winter. Towards the end of the month we got a new vehicle, a minivan rather than a car, Hooray! we were not able to do Halloween due to the car issue and we brought the worm bins in for the winter. In boy scouts the boys continued to work on the pets badge and also worked on personal fitness and personal management. Girl scouts started without Hayley this year, a fact of which she is upset but the leader changed the time and day so we can't make the meetings anymore. Our homeschooling progresses well with the kids studying Space travel, the Revolutionary war, British culture and the 3r's.

Below, Hayley and bunny friend time the boys on some personal fitness exercises.

If I ever get back to Boston is the Johnny Treiman tour worthwhile?
