Colin and Tristan participated in a Memorial Day ceremony with their scout troop. Later we watched a Memorial Day parade in another town. It was a hot and sunny day, the overcast is actually smoke all the way from Canada. They had wildfires burning out of control back in May. The couple days around Memorial day we could smell smoke constantly and there was a dark haze in the sky. It was very eerie thinking of how far the smoke had come and how many people and forest animals were affected.
Parades are always so fun. I love your new header photo...new as in ...since I've read blogs. I've decided to quit trying to "keep up" on FB and reconnect with blogging....more depth. LOL
I want to do that too, reconnect with blogging. It's so hard, Facebook is so fast and easy but no depth. I need to write on my blog more and read others more! I miss it, just don't seem to make it enough of a priority. Working on that.
There was a week or two ago when I didn't blog....and I realized that 20 years from now no one will care what I left as a FB status...but the family wants me to blog and print to create a family journal. I really should. LOL
