Big
Today we tried out one of the large warehouse type stores called BJ's. We haven't used warehouse stores much as they don't tend to have the brands we use being vegetarian and they also don't tend to be very near where we live. Plus there is the storage issue. Recently we repaired our large freezer and hubby was given a 2 month trial membership to BJ's through work. So off we went today to try it out. The warehouse store was not particularly convenient being nearly an hour away. We did find some good buys on frozen vegetables and some snacks the kids like and Tristan's Pediasure was a little cheaper there. Mainly we all got hung up in the book section for ages and chose a book or two each, thus negating any savings we might have had from buying the food in bulk. Oh well!

I always go straight for the books whenever I go to a "big" store. ;-)
LOL, cute post. The only thing we ever saved $$ on at Sam's Club was bottled water, but I don't think it was worth the extra money we spent, plus the $30+ membership fee.
Looks like the kids had a great time, and it cracks me up to think of you getting these great angle shots of everyone else shopping!
I just let my BJ's membership expire. They are only right down the road, but I found that Aldi's had everything I needed at lower costs. The main thing I saved on was Macaroni and Cheese...but I finally found a generic that was just as good.
I loved the book section at BJ's...I will miss that. LOL
I have certain things (food-wise) that I buy at Sam's. After years of keeping a "price book", I know what's a good deal and what's not. Anyway, we LOVE the book section there, as well. The kids could sit forever and look at the books. The other thing we love is that we can eat lunch or dinner in the snack bar for about $15. What a deal! :)
We didn't find a huge amount of items we use or might use but I'm sure we missed a few things, it's a big store! We found some "new to us" healthy brands such as a big bag of frozen sweet potato french fries which looked to be additive free. We'll have to go a couple more times during our free trial to see if we should join.....and try to stay away from the books. LOL
We like Costco because we can find things there that aren't in most other stores, like ziploc bags! LOL!
But it is hard to get out without having spent a lot of money.
The only bix box store we have here is Costco and I shop there almost exclusively figuring if they don't have it I don't need it (LOL)! I pick up the rest at the Super Walmart across the street. It's nice that ours are close together, but they, of course, aren't close to me either. It's about 40 mins away.
