Our well pump stopped working and that became the big project of summer 2018. The guys worked hard at diagnosing the problem and then replacing many parts and also the well pump itself. KitKat and I spent many a day hauling water from the brook to keep the many farm animals watered, Water issues and ducks especially don't go well together! For household drinking water friends let us fill jugs and we bought water at the stores. As for our extensive gardens and plantings well they didn't do too well, keeping the humans and animals in enough water was about all we could cope with. It was a trial that's for sure, you don't know how much you appreciate the simple convenience of running water until it is gone. Hard to believe that long ago people didn't have plumbing and water right in their homes. Even after the new pump was installed and hoses run etc we still had issues for several days and had to haul water. It was so good when things were all back up and running again!
